fantastic knife.
weighted very well, thick contruction.
only problem is itcomes duller than a butterknife.
my sugestion is for u to pick up a knife sharpener @ the same time.

I love this knife. I have pretty big hands and I can hold the blade comfortably standard or reveresed. The blade was extremely sharp on the inside edge, but not sharp on the outer. The only issue I had with it was the hard case. It was quite difficult to pull out the first time I sheathed the blade. There was an indentation that caught the finger hole. To remedy I do not insert the blade fully, just to the point that I can feel the indent touching the handle and a bit further, but it's still quite snug and does not slip out at all.
The blade itself I would rate 5 star.

This United Cutlery karambit is a very good value for the price. You're going to want to probably work the inside edge a little to get the 'best' edge. No frills, here. However, I do like the way it snaps into the case.

I do not like the two hole concept. If you incorporate a reverse grip or any spinning manipulation into your fighting style then the second hole definitely will impede these motions.

I would consider this a great knife that you could experiment with without worrying about destroying a $300 Emerson blade. It's outside edge can be sharpened, but it is a real bitch, even using Lansky's newest, heavy coarse diamond sharpener. I can see a couple different ways to paracord this knife; depending on how you wanted to treat the ring hole nearest the blade.

There are a number of different ways you could customize this knife with a Dremel drill and kit. If I was going to start with experiment, the first I'd look at is creating a sharpened outside edge. I would caution though, that any manipulation drills are now going to require extra care. You'll likely have to get a couple painful slices from that outside edge before this sinks in. :

All things considered, though, I don't regret the purchase and consider this a great experimental blade. This is a great knife and, given its modification potentials, a great template for trying different modifications with an inexpensive, but nicely made, blade.
